The Applied Strategic Planning Committee
Create an effective planning process for the Society by identifying and prioritizing appropriate objectives and action plans.
Budget Committee
Assess the Society’s financial operations and monitor its value and efficiency. Develop an annual budget for presentation to the Board of Directors. Great committee to get an overall picture of MDDS operations and activities.
Bylaws Committee
Review the Society’s Constitution and Bylaws annually. Members review and submit proposed revisions and amendments to the current Constitution and Bylaws in order to ensure consistency with MDDS programs, policies, and strategic plan.
Communications
Supervise the editing, publication, and the distribution of the MDDS Articulator. Committee manages the design and implementation of website content areas that support member needs
and the Applied Strategic Plan. Members solicit website and publication advertising appropriate to the
content of the communications vehicle.
Continuing Education Committee
Plan and implement continuing education programs not related to the Rocky Mountain Dental Convention. Committee members research and develop annual MDDS schedule of educational topics, speakers, venues and formats to fulfill needs of target audiences.
Leadership Development
Monitor the nomination and voting process for elections of the Society, and assist the Board of Directors in the recruitment of volunteer leadership. (Two meetings annually)
MDDF Steering Committee
Promote dental health through community service. Committee members identify, develop and promote access-to-dental care opportunities for metro area communities.
Member Services Committee
Obtain and monitor membership benefits and services that correspond to the identified needs of the membership. Committee members identify new members and assist with retention. Committee also
oversees the Ambassador Program for new members.
Membership Events
Plan networking and social programs such as the Dental Community Exchange Groups, Women Dentists Programs and other events that meet the needs of the MDDS membership.
Patient Relations/Peer Review Committee
Committee members evaluate patient complaints against member dentists and serve as mediators and arbitrators between dentists and patients.
Public Relations Committee
Organize relationship development with the public, media and other healthcare organizations. Committee members develop activities and utilize the local media to educate the community about issues related to the practice of dentistry and the promotion of oral health.
Rocky Mountain Dental Convention Committees
Committee members focus on the planning, coordination and development of the Society’s annual Rocky Mountain Dental Convention. Committees include:

Sponsorship Committee
Create relationships that will provide non-dues revenue, promote brand awareness of MDDS and develop synergistic relationships with other organizations and companies. Committee oversees the implementation of strategic sponsorship plan
Student Education Committee
Be a resource for students and perspective students of dentistry. Participate as a liaison between dental education institutions, mentoring programs and assist programs that fund educational advancement.
