The 9Health Fair promotes preventive health maintenance and providing accessible health screening services. The goal of the 9Health Fair is to be a leader in preventive health information and to bring attention to crucial health issues affecting the public. With a sole mission of promoting health awareness and encouraging individuals to assume responsibility for their own health, since 1980 the 9Health Fair has impacted approximately 1.7 million lives. Dentistry must be represented at Colorado’s largest non-profit, volunteer-driven health fair program in order to advance oral health awareness and influence health outcomes.
MDDS is committed to bringing dental health awareness to the forefront in educating the greater Denver adult population to make responsible dental health choices that benefit not only oral, but overall health. Because of this commitment, the Society has established an associate partnership with the 9Health Fair.The mission of the 9Health Fair is to promote health awareness and encourage individuals to assume responsibility for their own health. With over 100,000 people taking advantage of these services each year, it is estimated that over 10,500 of them were alerted to a medical condition that they were unaware of…in some instances, a life-threatening condition.
Thanks to our membership participation in the 9Health Fair. Oral screenings are the best represented screenings at any 9Health Fair location.
In exchange for the clinical expertise and generosity of MDDS volunteer dentists, MDDS is recognized in promotional "thank-you" opportunities. We will also be allowed to display MDDS signage at screening sites and distribute oral health information. MDDS participation in this event significantly increases our dental community's profile as caring community partners in oral health.
