Our Explorer program is free to all students. Meetings are held on Monday evenings at 6 p.m. at MDDS/CDA headquarters and other locations. Meetings include short presentations followed by hands-on activities. Pizza will be served.

The Careers in Dentistry Explorer Post 269 has proven to be instrumental in allowing young people to gain practical experience when considering a future career in dentistry. This program gives students a better understanding of what dental careers are all about in order to help them make the right choices now to succeed later. The Metro Denver Dental Society (MDDS) and the Colorado Dental Association (CDA) have established an alliance with Exploring, a national subsidiary of the Learning for Life program, which identifies and matches the career interests of students with the professional expertise and the program resources of sponsoring organizations.
Dentistry offers many rewarding career paths in the areas of prevention, assisting, diagnosis, treatment and research of oral health.
From computers to counseling, young people who choose a dental career will learn all about the cutting edge of technology while enjoying the personal fulfillment of dealing with people – healing, helping, counseling and caring. A career in dentistry offers personal and professional satisfaction with a bright future.
